Extension of district heating networks s is a part of PlanEnergi’s work on strategic heat planning for municipalities and an integrated part of a number of district heating projects. Extensions of the district heating network can be calculated in the TERMIS software, a hydraulic and thermodynamic modelling tool, which among other features simulates waterflow, pressure, temperature and energy in district heating systems.
Fjerritslev District Heating extensions of the district heating supply area
PlanEnergi has been the consultant to the plant owner for a major extension of the district heating network in Fjerritslev. In 2012 PlanEnergi completed a major project at Fjerritslev District Heating, concerning expansion of both the district heating networks and the production capacity of the plant. As a result, district heating has been established in a large number of the villages in the old Fjerritslev Municipality. In 10 years, the number of consumers had an increase from app. 1,400 to 2,325.
The expansions allowed about 900 households in Kollerup, Klim, Vester Thorup, Skerping, Korsholm, Ørebro, Gøttrup, Husby, Ålegårds Mark, Skræm, Bonderup, Trekroner, Kirkedal and Haverslev to benefit from a cheap, stable and environmentally-friendly supply of heat and domestic hot water all year round.
Extension of the district heating supply area at Hjallerup District Heating
PlanEnergi has been the consultant to the plant owner at Hjallerup Fjernvarme in relation to a major extension of the district heating supply area, to allow the industrial area north of Hjallerup to be supplied with district heating. PlanEnergi has also been the consultant to the plant owner for the establishment of a transmission pipe between Hjallerup District Heating and Klokkerholm CHP. The two plants are now merged.
