The project is organized as a cooperative, Bj\u00e6verskov District Heating A.M.B.A., and is expected to supply district heating to up to 1,000 homes, as well as businesses and institutions in Bj\u00e6verskov.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:0,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:0,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">A central part of the project is the\u00a0utilization\u00a0of surplus heat from Energinet\u2019s substation west of Bj\u00e6verskov. The surplus heat is used as base load and supplemented by an air-to-water heat pump, a gas boiler, and a storage tank, which together enable approximately 99% electrified heat production. The building and related infrastructure are prepared to accommodate the installation of an electric boiler as well. The solution contributes to CO\u2082 reduction, high security of supply, and stable heating prices for consumers.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:0,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">The project was politically approved by the Municipality of\u00a0K\u00f8ge\u00a0in 2023 following consideration of a project proposal prepared\u00a0in accordance with\u00a0the Heat Supply Act.
