There exist many examples of small scale district heating in Europe, especially in Denmark, Germany and Austria. However, a number of systems that integrate various renewable energy sources such as solar and biomass and combine them with seasonal storage facilities are limited.
PlanEnergi is leader on the work package on “Best practices and framework analyses”. Best practice examples serve as inspiration on various technologies and can be replicated on a larger scale, therefore a map on the best practices was elaborated in the framework of the CoolHeating project.
