The project examines the possibilities of connecting seven district heating plants with transmission lines (Horsens, Dagnæs-Bækkelund, Hedensted, Løsning, Brædstrup, Østbirk and Hovedgaard). Thereby it becomes, among other things, possible to:
make better use of industrial surplus heat
establish solar heating systems and heat storage along the transmission lines
convert individually supplied properties in cities and in villages along the transmission lines
integrate electricity and heat production more efficiently by, among other things, establishing large heat pumps, while at the same time switching 100% to renewable energy sources
The project is financed by the district heating plants, Horsens and Hedensted municipalities, the Insero Foundation and Region Midtjylland’s Growth Forum
