Masterplans and feasibility studies
PlanEnergi carries out masterplans and feasibility studies comparing relevant alternatives for energy supply, including district heating. With a masterplan or a feasibility study, decision-makers, including district heating utilities, can make the right decision based on a thorough and comprehensive assessment.
A feasibility study from PlanEnergi will typically contain a technical description of the relevant alternatives that can be integrated into existing or new production setup. Alternatives will typically be solar heating and/or heat pumps with heat storage, solar PV and/or wind turbines with electric boilers, biogas, energy storage, biomass, etc.
The feasibility study will investigate the technological and economic conditions. Sensitivity calculations will be carried out for relevant parameters such as taxes, fuel and electricity prices, and investment costs.
In addition, PlanEnergi provides consultancy on heat supply to consumers outside district heating areas by conducting screenings that identify the most advantageous form of supply (district heating, thermonet or individual heating) for consumers in the focus area.
